Friends Come Over to Play!

We swap out date nights with our friends, the Newby's, and this week was our week to watch their kiddies! Eli and Mckenna had a blast playing together and little Land had fun watching movies and rolling around on the floor! As you can see, he was worn out by the end of the evening! Thanks for coming over to play, McKenna and Land! Eli had a great time!

Almost a Broken Nose!

Well, Eli had a big fall today right onto his nose. And, I'm not joking when I say right onto his nose. He was pushing a stroller around in the kitchen and started climbing into it all by himself. I was standing right next to him, but obviously not close enough. He tumbled over the back and face first into the floor. I was afraid his nose might have been broken but am very thankful it is not. Just some redness and a few scratches. The Lord was definitely protecting my little man!!

Well, finally, here are some new pictues! We were out of town on vacation with my family (pictures on next post) for a week and then Eli came down with croupe as soon as we got home. So, we have sort of been out of it! He is feeling much better now! Praise the Lord! And he is even beginning to sleep in to between 8:00 & 8:30 a.m.! Dobuble hallalujah!! He wasn't feeling too bad last week to pull out most of Mason's bandannas and want to play dress-up with her! If you can tell, she ended up having six on at one time!! Then, he wanted to take her for a walk se he got the leash out! Poor Mason!

Lake Lanier-July 16th-21st, 2006

A couple of weeks ago we went on vacation to Lake Lanier, GA with my family! Eli was excited because he got to hang out with his cousin Jolie who lives in California! They seemed to really enjoy each other and Eli got to do all kinds of new things while on vacation!

I just couldn't resist!!!

I just couldn't resist posting more spaghetti pictures!! It is the funniest thing watching Eli eat spaghetti. First of all, he loves it, so he eats it as fast as he can shoving it into his mouth in big handfuls! Second, he literally paints himself with the sauce. It takes a good soaking to get the tint of red out of his skin! Needless to say, he only wears a diaper when it is spaghetti night. I don't know why we bother with the bib!

A Trip to Cincinnati

We recently went up to Cincinnati for Josh & Tonya's bachelor and bachelorette parties. Josh is John's step-brother and he and Tonya are getting married this weekend, the 10th! We are so excited! Anyway, Eli always likes going to Cincinnati because he gets to play with his cousins, Ashley and Megan.

On the night of the bachelor party, Aunt Susie and I took Eli and Megan to McDonald's to play!

Eli usually takes a bath at night before bedtime and he really needed one this night after playing at McDonald's. Megan decided to join him and the two crazy kids had a blast!

A Visit to Grandma Smith's!

After visiting in Cincinnati, Eli and I drove up to Franklin to visit Grandma Smith. Eli sure did enjoy exploring a new place and Grandma loved stealing kisses from him! Thanks, Grandma, for letting us invade your house! With Eli, and all his stuff, it is always an invasion!

Eli's cousins and Aunt and Uncle came to visit the first day! All the kids had a blast playing together and getting to know each other!

I had bought Eli a little pool because the neighbor's little girl had one and he acted liked he wanted to play in it so bad! However, when I blew it up and filled it with water, all he wanted to do was carry his new balls around. He completely ignored the pool. Crazy kid!

Grandma Smith was amazed at how much Eli liked corn on the cob!

Eli discovered Grandma Smith's sister's jewelry box and had so much fun playing in it!

The only way I could get Eli to sit in Grandma's lap to get a picture was to bribe him with milk. Milk always works!
