January 9th-Big Snow!!

Today, we had our first real snow of the winter. It snowed for like five minutes one day in November, but we were in the car and didn't get to enjoy it. Today, we spent the whole time it snowed outside and Eli loved it!! It was a little frigid, though!!

January 6th-Gatlinburg

We spent the day in Gatlinburg yesterday and had a super duper time! This was the first time Eli had ever been to Gatlinburg and he loved all of the energy there. He's been to Pigeon Forge many times, but we've never made the extra trip to G-burg until yesterday! After driving around for awhile to find parking (it was unexpectedly busy because of the warm weather) we started off in an arcade where we also ate lunch at Fannie Farkles!! Yummy corndogs!!

After lunch, we hit the town on Daddy's shoulders! This was super fun!

I saw these cool suckers and thought Eli would enjoy one. He did! All over his face!!

We did end up in Pigeon Forge to stop at a few shops and then headed to our favorite restaurant, the Apple Barn, for dinner!

Eli's ice cream was the highlight of the evening!

We had a wonderful day! It is days like this, hanging out and enjoying my family, that I am reminded of God's kindess in giving me my wonderful husband and precious son! Thank you God for your grace! We are so underserving!

Eli's First Haircut!!

Well, we finally did it! Eli got his haircut yesterday for the first time!! He did great! We went to Kids Fun Kutz and it was such a neat place. I definitely recommend it if you don't mind paying a little extra. Eli was totally entertained and barely noticed what was going on! He wasn't very fond of the apron thing they put on him, so it came off!

And here's the finished product! He doesn't look to thrilled, does he?!!

Christmas 2006

Merry Christmas, everyone! Here are some pictures from this morning!! Eli and Mason had fun opening their gifts. Actually, once Eli saw his roller coaster that his Mimi and Pappy got him he didn't really pay attention to anything else!! I have added a video of him riding it, so check it out!!

New Video!!

Check out the new video of Eli and his cousins playing Ring Around The Rosy at lunch last week. Instead of saying "Ashes, ashes, we all fall down" he just said his cousin Ashley's, name, who wasn't even there, over and over again! It was so funny!

Sleepover!!

My friend Jeanne's husband is also out of town for training, so we decided to have a sleepover! The boys loved it!! Although, we did have some minor altercations over toys!! We went to Fuddruckers for dinner and then Trevor and Eli took a bath together! That was so funny!! This morning we hung out and then went to the mall for a little while! Eli was sad when we came home and Trevor wasn't there. Jeanne and Trevor, thanks for coming over! We'll have to do it again sometime!!

I woke up this morning and found Mason all cuddled up with her blanket. I am always amazed at how she gets that thing wrapped around her so well!!

My New CARS Pajamas!

John is in Chicago for training until the 14th and Eli wanted to show Daddy his new CARS pajamas. So, I took some pictures of him to put on the blog. Mason wanted to join in, too! I love the last picture where Eli is giving Mason a big hug!!

Mommy's Yucky Lip

Okay, I know this is gross, but I thought some might like to see what it looks like when a mommy's lip collides with a jumping toddler's head. Eli was jumping around last night at Care Group while holding on to my hands and having a good time. He stopped and I bent down for some reason, not really sure why, and he jumped up right as I bent down. Needless to say, my teeth dug into my lip and this is what it looks like today. Pretty yucky, huh? Oh, and it is really annoying!! Just thought I'd share!

Thanksgiving with the Girberts
