Where's My Blankie??

So this video needs a little explanation. When I was little my mean dad would constantly hide my precious blankie in his shirt. It was usually right before I went to bed. He has done the same to my nieces and now he is doing it to my own child!! Well, Eli has caught on and will leave his blankie in the car whenever we go see Poppy!! Unless he is spending the night with him. Today, I was getting lunch ready and he asked me where his blankie was. I thought he was ready for a nap, but it turns out he was hiding it in his shirt...like Poppy!!

3-D Ultrasound

Well, today we had a 3-D ultrasound for fun and to confirm the gender. It is still a girl!! If you look at the third scanned image of the first picture you can see that it is a girl!! We got some really fun pictures of her and some that resembled Eli!! It's crazy that she can look like him already, and in the womb!! She weighs about 3lbs, so the unltrasound technician thinks she might be bigger than Eli was. He was born weighing 8lbs. even. She even has a little big of hair!! That was crazy that the tech. could see that!! Other than that, all is well!! All of her organs and everything look good and I passed my sugar test. So, I do not have gestational diabetes!! We are so thankful to God for giving us this little girl and we can't wait to meet her!! We are also thankful for an easy pregnancy. I have been truly blessed during my pregnancies with no complications or problems. My prayer is that it remains that way with this one for the next two and a half months!! My other prayer is that I can control myself when it comes to little girl clothes and accessories!!

Silly Pictures

I had a store meeting tonight, so John put Eli to bed. When I came home John showed me these pictures he had taken. Eli loves his "Sissy"!!

Eli's New Bed

Well, after much debate, we decided to go ahead and get Eli a twin bed!! We didn't want to have two crib mattresses & we wanted to be able to use the duvet cover we had that matches his room. So, here it is!! Eli had a blast helping me pick it out!! By blast, I mean running across the rows of mattresses!!

As you can see, I still need to get a bed skirt and maybe a twin size quilt to lay on top. The quilt at the end of the bed is his toddler quilt.
Yeah!! New bed!!
Eli wanted me to take a picture of "Sissy" on her bed.
This is what I found later in the evening. Look at his feet sticking out!!
After a little adjustment.
I was a little nervous that he might wake up often during the night, but he never did!! He had a hard time adjusting to his toddler bed, so I wasn't sure how he would do with his bigger bed!! He loves it!! And, he also enjoys tucking all of his stuffed animals into bed!!

Bathroom Update

Well, with guidance from my dad, we finally got our cabinet & light up in our bathroom!!! All by ourselves!!! We didn't receive any actual physical help. On this, anyway!!! We still need to mend some of the wall, but most of it you can't even see. We are very excited to have a cabinet again!! Now I need to hang the new towel bar & put new hardware on the cabinets. Our bathroom is really small so it's hard to take a good picture. I think you can get the idea!!!

Valentine's Dinner

Well, since I always work on Thursday nights, we had our Valentine's dinner last night.  It was a simple, but yummy, meal of heart shaped pancakes and eggs.  Our dessert was heart shaped peanut butter fudge (a super yummy recipe of my mom's!!)!!  Everything turned out great!! Even the heart shaped stuff!  I was a little worried about the pancakes, but they looked great!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!!

This is Mason's spot when we eat.  Lying on the floor by the table looking under Eli's chair for falling food!!  I usually don't allow her to stay here because she is such a beggar, but since it was Valentine's day I caved.
"Where are my pancakes?"
Here is Eli helping Mason open her little goody bag.
Yeah!!  Busy bones.  Although, for her, they're not really "busy" bones.  She chews them up in less than 10 minutes!!  She's already licking her chops!

Eli got a Cars theme goody bag and, of course, a small box of candy.  He's already gotten so much candy from family and friends that I didn't want him having much more.  Of course, anything Cars is great!!  The bigger Lighting McQueen is actually bubble bath!!

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!  We hope you all had a fun day!!

Valentine's Party

Today, Eli and his friends, Trevor and Easton, had a little Valentine's Day Party. They played, made valentine's, ate and then decorated cookies. Decorating the cookins was, by far, the highlight of their morning!! They had a blast decorating the cookies and, of course, eating them!!

Can you see Makenlee trying to get in on the action under Melissa's arm??

YUMMY!!!

You Never Know What You'll Find

I have been doing some little projects around our house lately. Things such as painting the basement bathroom, hanging light fixtures, redecorating, etc. I was at Target the other day and found a cabinet for my bathroom on clearance. We have a pretty small master bath so we need to utilize every inch of space we have with storage cabinets. There was already a cabinet over our sink but it was old and I just didn't like it. So, I bought the one at Target. I discovered that it is bigger than the old one and I would need to go ahead and replace the light fixture if I was going to go ahead and hang the new cabinet. Imagine my surprise when I find this behind the old light fixture and cabinet!! Not quite sure what happened but it looks like someone just yanked the electrical wires up the wall. Now I get to figure out how to install an electrical box onto a stud that is not center and then patch up this crazy mess in the drywall. You never know what you'll find in a 28 year old house!! Wish me luck!! Well, maybe you should pray for me!!!

A Few Random Pictures

Eli loves to line up his cars and trucks. Especially in his bath!!
If you look close enough you can see remnants of blue icing around his mouth.
We went out to Dad and Alana's on Sunday for dinner and hang time. Eli and Jolie just had to play outside even though it was quite chilly. Can you see Eli in this picture?

Happy Birthday Easton!

On Saturday, we hosted Easton's 3rd birthday party!! The theme was pirates and all the kids were asked to dress in pirate garb!! Eli doesn't really have any pirate garb so I bought him some fun accessories (hat, eye patch, hand hook) in the Target $1 section, but he didn't keep them on very long. All of the other kids did great with their garb!

Arrrrrggggghhhh!!!
Melissa (Easton's mommy) had games for the kids to play and the first was stick the eye patch on the pirate. The pirate was a big blown-up picture of Easton. Eli didn't want to keep the blind fold on.
So, Melissa had to hold it in place while he stuck it on the poster!!
All the kids wanted to do was play, so Melissa chucked the other game and let them go crazy!! They had a blast!!
Grub time!
Happy birthday, Easton!!!
Of course, all the kids wanted the cupcakes with the blue icing. Eli's didn't come off his hands and face until we soaked him in a bath!!Happy birthday, Easton! We all had a blast at your pirate party!! Hope you enjoyed it, too!!

Cozy Boy!!

Every now and then Eli ends up in bed with us. This past Thursday morning he looked so cozy and warm that I hated to wake him!!

This is what I found when I pulled the comforter back!!
I couldn't believe how snuggled he was!! He almost looks like a caterpillar's cocoon! So sweet!!

Bouncy Ball II

Here is the second half to the previous video!!

Bouncy Ball

I have been looking for one of these bouncy balls ever since Christmas and I finally stumbled upon one at Party City the other day. It took Eli a bit to figure it out but he quickly got the hang of it. It was so funny to watch him!!

Jumping off the Couch

The lighting is really bad in this video, but I think you can get the idea of how fearless my child is. He reminds me a lot of my niece, Kenzie!!

Jumping on the Bed

This is one of Eli's new favorite things to do...pile all of the pillows up on our bed and then jump on them!!

Too Cute!!

I walked into Eli's room to check on him and this is what I found!! So cute!!

Last from Virgin Gorda

Here's my belly! Not too big, yet. It feels bigger than it looks!!

Well, we're home now! We actually got home at 3:30 this morning. My poor husband blessed me by driving home last night. Flying always makes me feel yucky and it lingered after we got into Atlanta, so he just drove the whole time while I slept!! We had a super trip and are glad to be home!! It's always nice to be back in your own bed! Eli had a great time with Grame and Poppy!!! Thanks to Grame and Poppy for keeping up with the kick!! We appreciate it very much!!
