Isle of Palms-Last Day

Well, since Jenny was bored of the beach, we hit some different things on Friday. We started the day with going to Fort Moultrie. It was a fort that was used to protect the Charleston Harbor during the Civil War and WWII.

There were lots of canons, and Eli just had to sit on all of them!
POW!!

Can you see Jenny underneath this one?
If there is ever a chance to climb, Eli will take it!
Apparently, so will Jenny!
Daddy helping Eli down!

After a nap and some lunch, we went to a fire house museum. Eli was in heaven! Here he is in a fire truck simulator where you feel like you are actually riding in a real fire truck!

This isn't a good picture, but it gives you a look at the outside of the simulator!
Sliding down the fire pole!
Doesn't Jenny look thrilled!
Time to drive the simulator!

This was a typical scene at restaurants. Jenny is not the best restaurant patron!
Eli, on the other hand, is great at restaurants!
Well, that's out trip! We had a wonderful time, but are glad to be home! Thank you, Lord, for providing for us so we could spend this week together!

Isle of Palms-Day Five

On Thursday morning, John took Eli back into Charleston to fish. This is why our van still smells like dead squid!!

We ran into this gentleman while we were in Charleston on Wednesday and he gave John the idea to come back here to fish. He was there again on Thursday and was a big help to the boys!
He even let Eli help him reel in a fish!
After lunch, we headed back to the beach. By this time, Jenny was bored of the beach, bored of the pool and bored of vacation. We didn't last very long at the beach.
Is it time to go, yet?

Isle of Palms-Day Four

On Wednesday, we headed into Charleston. Our first stop was one of our favorite restaurants, Joseph's!!

Cute kids!
Check out that shrimp po' boy!
Check out that grilled cheese!
Check out those fries!!
Charleston is a lot different with Jenny because she is not one to just sit in her stroller and let you walk around for hours. So, we headed to the fountains which are always a hit with Eli. Jenny wasn't so sure!

Should I join Daddy and Eli?
No, I'll just push the stroller!
Eli, on the other hand, loved the fountains! Daddy is very kind to go in them with him!

Our attempt at a family photo on the streets of Charleston! At least we're all looking at the camera!

Isle of Palms-Day Three

We didn't spend as much time at the beach today. Jenny decided not to take a morning nap and then was cranky until we laid her down after lunch. However, today, I got to hang out with Eli while Daddy napped Jenny!

These kids love their sunglasses!

After Daddy left the beach to nap Jenny, Eli and I looked for sea shells for what seemed like an hour. We went back to the house, took a little break and then headed to the pool!
When Jenny woke up, she and Daddy joined us!
Eli loves Jenny's float! Silly boy!
Jenny wanted to try out my float! It is a little big for her!
Playing with Daddy!
Making funny faces!
What kind of funny face is that?
Eli swimming all on his own!!
Jumping in with Daddy! A favorite!
