Do I need a haircut?

Well, it's been two and a half months since Eli's first and only haircut. Do you think it's time for another one?

All Cuddled Up!!

Isn't he sweet!!

Krispy Kreme!!!

My friend, Jeanne, and I met up at a consignment sale last Friday and there just happened to be a Krispy Kreme close by. Since we dragged the boys out early for the sale, we thought we would treat them to some yummy doughnuts!!

Let's see your doughnuts!!

Eli takes forever to eat his doughnuts. He picks the icing off first and then eats the rest. So, as you can imagine, he is a mess by the time he is finished.

California Here We Come!! Day One - Getting There

Eli and I left last Wednesday to go visit Tricia and Jolie in California! We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back!! Our travels there were quite the adventures!!
It's really early!! Our flight left at 6:15 a.m.!!

Well, my original plan was to use the car seat for all flights. It worked great on the first flight, but it was only an hour long. About an hour into the second flight, Eli started crying and did so for about an hour. He was not happy in his car seat. The flight wasn't full and the seats in front of us were empty after this couple moved back to their original seats while Eli was crying!! Why move in front of a two-year-old anyway?? So, I took him out of his car seat and strapped it into one of the seats in front of us. Eli was perfect the rest of the flight!! Here he is having a snack and being silly!!
His diaper leaked so I had to hang his pants over the seat to let them dry. Eli didn't mind at all. Especially when he realized he could put his stickers all up his legs!!
Well, the little man didn't sleep at all on our four and a half hour flight, but he did pass out almost instantly once we reached L.A. I just put him in his stroller and went for a little walk to help him fall asleep. He slept for and hour and a half!!
On our last flight, which was to San Luis Obispo, the decent was pretty bumpy since the wind was blowing about 30 mph there. Eli had just drank some milk and, needless to say, he experienced some airsickness. Luckily, I already had his pants off so he could play with his stickers again. Getting off the plane, I wrapped him up in my jacket. I should have taken pictures of that but I was a little flustered. I am very thankful we had reached our destination, because I didn't have a change of clothes for him in my carry-on. What an eventful day!!

Day Two - Our First Full Day

We went to this really nice park on base to start off our first full day!! I wish we had a park like this in Knoxville!

Right before we left, the kids started chasing birds!!

Day Three - Running Around Town

Here the kiddies are having breakfast together. Eli loved this little picnic table!!
Before we left to run some errands, Tricia had to water her yard. The kids would wait for it to come towards them and then run away from it. They got a little wet, but had so much fun!

Off to the grocery store for some last minute dinner fixings. Tricia would move the race car shopping cart from side to side causing the kids to erupt in laughter. Eli loved it!
For two nights in a row, the kids ended up in their diapers after dinner. That's because we had spaghetti. Then, they would go over to this big chair and play behind the cushions. I have some video from the second night that I will post soon!
Unlike Eli, Jolie loves having her picture taken!!

Day Four - Festival in Santa Maria

There was an Easter festival in Santa Maria, so we decided to check it out. It was a little crowded, but Eli and Jolie still had fun!

We ran into Jolie's friend, Mac, and they had fun playing in the straw. But, they really weren't allowed to, so we quickly got asked to leave that area.

After the festival, we went to Kohl's for a big sale. Eli didn't last long in his stroller.

Jolie loves stuffed animals!! Isn't she so cute!!
The kids topped off their last evening together by taking a bath with each other. They loved it!!

Day Five - Going Home

Here is the shirt we bought Eli on base.
One last hug before we leave. They almost fell off the bench.

Eating my breakfast that Aunt Tricia made for me!!

Once we got in L.A. we found a spot by a window so we could watch the planes. Eli saw a good ledge, so he got his trucks out and started playing with them on the ledge.

We didn't even make it off the ground in L.A. before he fell asleep! He then slept for three hours!!

Reading books and playing with trucks as we take off!!

We were sad to leave, but glad to get home! Thanks, Tricia and Jolie, for letting us come visit!! Have fun reuniting with Hayes and we can't wait to hear about his homecoming!! We love you guys!

Silly Boy!

One morning, about two weeks ago, I went in to get Eli and he was all propped up on his beach ball pillow. I thought it was pretty funny!
