Well, we did it! The kids and I braved it to Dollywood today. Rain and all!! I actually didn't think it was supposed to rain until tonight, but I was wrong. As soon as we got there it started raining. Eli and I had wet jeans from mid-calf down the rest of the day. We met up with some friends when we got there, rode the bumper cars and then headed to eat. Shortly after lunch our friends left but I hated to leave after Eli only getting to ride one ride. So, we hopped on the train and just played the rest of the day by ear. We didn't get back into the van until 5:15. Both kids were troopers and Jenny did remarkably well!! Enjoy these pics I managed to get.
On the train.
Jenny's 10 minute nap. Sorry it's not right-side up. It didn't save right.
Playing in the train store!
Riding the old fashioned cars. I was so happy Jenny was able to ride, too. Otherwise, no cars for us!
Carousel! I wasn't allowed to stand holding Jenny, so I had to put her on a horse. She wasn't so sure about it!
Here she is while the carousel is moving. Don't worry, I was holding on tight to her.
I, obviously, couldn't take Jenny on this little roller coaster, but Eli was tall enough to ride it alone. Surprisingly, he wanted to. He rode it three times!!
We took a break from rides to eat a funnel cake!! YUMMY!!
Even Jenny liked it! I know!! I'm a horrible mom!!
Back to the roller coaster before heading home!
We ended up having a great time! We started off waiting in lots of lines and getting very wet, but we rode it out and had a fun little family outing! Eli can't wait to take Daddy!!

What a fun day! I love your kiddos. When we read a book called, "Most of All Jesus Loves You", there is a page talking about friends. I ask Christian who his friends are, and he says Eli. Anyhow, what a fun outing. Can't wait to do this soon, Lord willing.
Good for you sticking it out like that for the kiddos!! Looks like you guys had a fantabulous time, regardless of the weather!
