Mommy's New Do!!

I had gotten my hair cut short back in May and just wasn't happy with it. With our recent move I attempted to save money and get an inexpensive haircut and I paid for that in the long run. John graciously let me take $50 and go get this fun haircut!! I am very pleased with it and will never go to anyone else to cut my hair!!

Sleep Crazyness!!

Recently, Eli has been terrified to sleep in his bed. We're not exactly sure what is the cause but we think it might be the movie the Polar Express. He keeps saying "Choo-Choo come to Eli's room?" We're thinking he is afraid the train is going to come take him away in the middle of the night. Anyway, he's been sleeping with us since Monday.

I really did enjoy having Eli in our bed, but it was keeping me from being able to do my projects and chores. So, it took awhile, but we were able to get him to go to sleep in his bed tonight. Mason and I stayed in there until he fell asleep. I think Mason might cuddle with him all night!! I'm anxious to see what happens later in the night and if his bed can handle his 30lbs and her 50lbs!!

Rest of Vacation

Sorry for the delay posting the rest of vacation pictures. I didn't take as many pictures the last few days until we went to Charleston on Friday. Even then, I didn't take all that many of Charleston, just of the little man!!

We had to stop at the popular fountains. Eli wasn't so sure at first but pretty soon he was getting soaked to the bone!!

We had dinner at the East Bay Crab Shack and Eli really had a good time! He especially enjoyed playing with my cole slaw!!

Life is so peaceful when they're sleeping! Then they wake up!!

There is a Farmer's Market every Saturday in Charleston and I was so excited that we were there to go! They usually have inflatables, but this time they only had pony rides. Eli has never been on a horse before and he loved it!! He got to ride twice since they were only $2!! What a great deal!!

Well, we had a good time, but it is good to be home!! Now I get to start on painting my kitchen cabinets!! Wish me luck!

Day Four-Wednesday

Today was a really hot day. We started off at the beach but Eli didn't last long. He said he wanted to go "bye-bye" so we headed for an indoor mall. The rest of the day we just hung out. We hardly spent any time at the pool, too.

I hope this picture doesn't offend anyone, but I wanted to show you all how good of a tan he is getting. Look at his little white butt! I'm so thankful that Eli has John's complexion!!

Day Three-Tuesday

This morning, we had beautiful weather. So, John, Eli and I headed to the beach. Eli just loved digging in the sand and collecting sea shells. He also like walking the beach and watching what all the other kids are doing. Oh, and we can't forget how much he likes pushing his big yellow truck!!








Last night, we all went out to dinner at Sticky Fingers and then headed over to Broadway at the Beach, which is a huge shopping area with restaurants, original stores, and some fun areas for the kiddies! When we first got there Eli rode a big choo-choo!!




Eli wanted to ride these cars so bad but I was afraid they were too jerky for him. He was able to ride with Megan and he had a ball. Just look at his face!!

Day Two-Monday

Well, yesterday was an interesting day. They were calling for scattered showers and we thought we might get hit a little in the afternoon. But, we were wrong. We got rained on three times while we were at the beach in the morning. The kids had a ball, though!! Eli loved scooping the sand and putting it in his truck or making sand water with Megan. We ended up taking his swim trunks off because he was getting little sand rashes in between his legs.

Day One-Sunday

Our first full day started with a great night's sleep!! We woke up, ate some breakfast and then headed to the pool. Eli really enjoyed playing with his cousins, Ashley and Megan!! Daddy was really great to hang out with him in the pool so much, too!!

Here's my new swim vest. It didn't stay on too long!!

He actually didn't eat much breakfast, so a snack break came pretty quickly!!

Eli loved this float!! He called it his motorcycle (a.k.a. "mokoo-mokoo) and especially loved it when Ashley or Daddy would push him around in it really fast!!
