Halloween 2008

Well, we had a very fun Halloween! Our original plan was to trick-or-treat in our neighborhood and, since all our friends already had plans, that is what we ended up doing! Eli had so much fun! Jenny did great! She hung out for a bit in the stroller and then, after one of the individuals passing out candy scared her, in my arms.

Here is our fireman and cowgirl!! Aren't they cute!!

Going up to the first house!!
This one is fitting, don't you think???
Check out that loot!!

Jenny didn't last too long. After her bedtime feeding (in someone's yard) it didn't take her long to pass out in my arms. That is how she stayed until we came home and laid her down about an hour later. So sweet!! Eli got a couple of pieces of candy before heading off to bed where he quickly fell asleep!! He was beat!!

Our little man is now 4 years old. I can't believe how big he is getting. He had his well visit yesterday and he is 80% for weight and 84% for height. HOLY COW!!! The doctor said at this age it is genetics that makes him as tall as he is. Well, for those of you that know John and I, you know we are not at all tall. Maybe he has gotten the gene that my cousin Jason got who is a whole lot taller than his parents! John is hoping for that!! We had Eli's birthday party last Saturday and it was so much fun!! I will post pictures as soon as I get them from my sister. She is the photographer for all family events!! In the meantime, check out her blog. She posted pictures from the party!!

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween and got lots of candy to enjoy!!

Pumpkin Patch

Eli's birthday party was rescheduled from last Saturday to this Saturday because he had Hand, Foot and Mouth. So, we were able to go to the big pumpkin patch!! We started off with a tractor ride out to the patch to pick our pumpkins. Eli particularly loved the tractor ride!!

Smothering the baby!
What is this??

Eli's attempts at smiling. There was no getting Jenny to look at the camera with all of the pumpkins to explore!
The gentleman who took this did such a good job!! He even got Jenny to look!!

Playing at the kids corner.

Mason's Birthday

Yesterday was Mason's birthday and Eli wanted to celebrate with a cake. I was just going to take him to a local doggie bakery, but he wanted a cake. Of course, at three that's what a birthday is all about. So, I went online and found some recipes for doggie birthday cakes. The one I chose had peanut butter (her favorite), carrots, flour, honey, vanilla and baking soda. The icing was pureed cottage cheese. I added some of her doggie biscuits. As you can see she loved it!!

Singing "Happy Birthday"!!
Look at her! She is so ready to dig in!
Blowing out the candles!
Allright!! It's all yours!!

Eli enjoying some birthday ice cream. He wanted to try Mason's cake, and I was going to let him until we let her just dig in. So, he just got ice cream!
That was good!!

Mason loved her cake!! She ate the whole thing!! We weren't sure if we should let her or not. It was relatively healthy so we figured she would be okay. She didn't get sick later on!! We just didn't feed her any dinner. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MASON!!!

Lately...

We haven't been up to too much lately. Eli is enjoying his Mom's Day Out program and so am I!! He is also enjoying gymnastics with his buddy Caden. It's hard to get pictures of him taking a class because the parents sit above the gym and my camera doesn't zoom in real far. Maybe I'll borrow my sister's camera sometime!! Here are some pictures over the last couple of weeks of our two crazy kids!!
Eli really loves Jenny!! And she loves him just as much!
Hanging out with Aunt Tonya while celebrating her birthday! We also celebrated Mimi and Aunt Susie's birthday, but this is the only picture I have from that whole weekend. Oh, well. It's a cute one!
I found Jenny this outfit at a recent consignment sale. The hat is a little big, but I love the overalls!
If you lift up the rim you can see her beautiful eyes!! That's Eli's hand giving her some love!!

Hanging out with Easton at Boogie Down Baby!
On Sunday we went to a small local pumpkin patch.
Eli picked out this pumpkin for Jenny!
It's just her size!

Jenny turned five months old on Tuesday. I cannot believe she is already five months. I told her she needs to be sitting up now because Eli sat up around 5 1/2 months. She still doesn't have any teeth even though she has been working on them for a month. She is interacting a whole lot more and laughs at Eli all of the time. She eats before Eli gets up in the morning so when he comes out she always smiles real big. She is so excited to see him!! I pray that God will give these two precious children a special relationship and that they will always be close! It has been such a joy to see how much Eli cares for her!! He is a super big brother!!
