A Trip to Cincinnati

We recently went up to Cincinnati for Josh & Tonya's bachelor and bachelorette parties. Josh is John's step-brother and he and Tonya are getting married this weekend, the 10th! We are so excited! Anyway, Eli always likes going to Cincinnati because he gets to play with his cousins, Ashley and Megan.

Here is Eli raiding Megan's shoes!

On the night of the bachelor party, Aunt Susie and I took Eli and Megan to McDonald's to play!

Eli usually takes a bath at night before bedtime and he really needed one this night after playing at McDonald's. Megan decided to join him and the two crazy kids had a blast!

A Visit to Grandma Smith's!

After visiting in Cincinnati, Eli and I drove up to Franklin to visit Grandma Smith. Eli sure did enjoy exploring a new place and Grandma loved stealing kisses from him! Thanks, Grandma, for letting us invade your house! With Eli, and all his stuff, it is always an invasion!

Eli's cousins and Aunt and Uncle came to visit the first day! All the kids had a blast playing together and getting to know each other!
I had bought Eli a little pool because the neighbor's little girl had one and he acted liked he wanted to play in it so bad! However, when I blew it up and filled it with water, all he wanted to do was carry his new balls around. He completely ignored the pool. Crazy kid!
Grandma Smith was amazed at how much Eli liked corn on the cob!
Eli discovered Grandma Smith's sister's jewelry box and had so much fun playing in it!
The only way I could get Eli to sit in Grandma's lap to get a picture was to bribe him with milk. Milk always works!

Look At Me!!

We have recently discovered that Eli loves corn on the cob!

Look at that curly hair!

I love my big sister!!

Our friends, Josh and Kresta, came to visit this past weekend on their way to Destin, FL. Eli really liked it when Josh held him because he has never been that high in the air before! Congratulations you two on being pregnant! We cannot wait to meet baby Wilson!

Now I know it is normal for little girls to play in their mommy's heels but I didn't realize little boys would like it too! Well, Eli just likes playing in any of our shoes! He loved walking in these on the kitchen floor because they made noise!

Hanging Out and Having Fun!

McKenna comes over to play so her Mommy and Daddy can go on a date!

Playing in Daddy's car!

Intrigued, with my friend Ally, watching a Baby Faith movie!

My absolute favorite pastime in the whole world...pushing my big yellow Tonka truck!

Cousin Jolie Visits!

Eli's cousin Jolie, from California, recently came to visit. While her mommy and daddy spent some time in Florida, Eli and Jolie got to hang out a bit and get into trouble together!

Swinging at the park.

Riding bikes at Poppy and Grame's!

Eating dinner with Poppy at his church!

Oops! Forgot About Easter Dinner!

One Easter Sunday my family and I went to eat at a local seafood restaurant. The food was so yummy!! Here are a few pictures of the kiddies having fun after dinner!

Here is Eli playing in Grame's water glass. Grame is so kind to let Eli do just about whatever he wants!

It's hard to get two crazy toddlers to look at the camera at the same time. This one turned out pretty good, though!

Easter Traditions

As we all know, Easter is a time for egg hunts and it didn't take Eli long to catch on! His first hunt was with our MOPS group! It was a little rainy outside so the eggs were hidden inside. This was probably better for his first hunt since the eggs were easy to find. Once he realized what he was supposed to do there was not stopping him!!

Eli's Pappy and Mimi had an egg hunt for Eli and his cousins, Ashley and Megan. These were hidden a little better and Eli needed some help. We would point them out to him and he would go put them in his basket!! Needless to say, Eli got a lot of candy! He had a ball!!

Weekly Traumas

Lately, it seems that Eli has a traumatic experience every week. Two weeks ago it was tripping and hitting his chin on our window sil and creating quite the fat lip! Last week it was tripping and falling onto a wooden puzzle piece he was carrying in his hand and scratching his eye. This week it was getting stung by a carpenter bee while blowing bubbles in the back yard (no picture of that). Poor guy!!

Fat lip!

Injured eye!

These are just some goofy pictures of Eli. He really loves putting our shoes on! And he put these on all by himself!!

Happy Birthday!

We recently celebrated Eli's Gramme's and Aunt Tricia's birthdays at my sister, Carrie's, house. Knowing that Jolie loves to be pushed and Eli loves to push we thought we would try something out! Well, I think Aunt Tricia actually thought of it! So, here are some hilarious pictures of Eli pushing cousin Jolie around in a play stroller! Good idea, Aunt Tricia!!

And here is Eli on his Poppy's shoulders. This was my favorite spot as a kid!

Events at Sherlake-March 14, 2006

On Tuesday of this week we met some friends at Events at Sherlake. It is basically a fun world of inflatable toys!! Eli really enjoyed the slides and went down all of them by himself. Yes, even the really big one. He was in toddler heaven because the biggest slide has these little steps you have to climb to get to the top of the slide. He climbed those steps many times!! Thanks Jeanne and Trevor for inviting us!! We had so much fun!!

Here I am climbing away!
Yipee!! My mommy was later told that going down on my belly is very dangerous. So, next time I'm going to learn to go down on my bottom or back!

Going through the tunnel!

Trevor and I loved this super cool car! In fact, we fought over it a little!

Finally...Some More Pictures

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to post some more pictures of Eli. It has been another eventful month. Eli got another ear infection in February which was followed by a stomach bug. Needless to say, we were all taking extra naps during the days. He is doing much better now!! Praise the Lord! We are working on getting him back on his sleeping routine and he is not liking that very much. I think I spoiled him by letting him come to bed with me so much! It is fun, though, waking up next to his cute little face!!
We went to the Zoo for "Field Trip Friday" with some friends. Eli was really enjoying the goats until he threw on all over them. Turns out, he had a yucky stomach bug that lasted, in total, 10 days.

Here's the little man catching some zzzzzzzzzz's with his big sister!!

I thought you might enjoy another spaghetti snapshot!!
